AI Turned Simple Decisions Into Mini Research Projects

A simple Google search once felt enough. Now every small choice becomes a long investigation. Somewhere along the way, curiosity turned into dependence.

AI Turned Simple Decisions Into Mini Research Projects

Recently I have started questioning every small decision, and relying more on AI apps. Even the way I ask questions has changed. Earlier, before the AI boom, I would do a quick Google search, read two or three results, and decide. Life was simple.

Now the same behavior is stretched. I start with a basic search, then fall into hours of comparing options, rating everything, and hunting for the “perfect” alternative. It feels like I have slowly entered an analysis paralysis zone.

I know I am not alone. Many friends, coworkers, even senior leaders follow the same pattern. A question comes in, instinctively we open ChatGPT.

Curiosity is not the problem. Asking questions is still good. The problem begins when your mind cannot move without a tool. That dependence looks harmless, but it quietly eats your confidence.
